The name is a dedication to Maria, a twin by birth and a fundamental woman within our company. She has always been in charge of the kitchen at the historic Buon Padre restaurant.

Our roots

From 1923 Cavalier Antonio Viberti produced wines in the basement of the family inn for direct sale.The grape varieties grown were Dolcetto , Barbera and Nebbiolo.A little over a century later, the story continues and the wineries bearing the family name produce classic Barolo wines and more. Vineyards in the Barolo Langa have been joined by vineyards in Monferrato and Colli Tortonesi, where Barbera & the rarer Timorasso varieties are grown respectively.

Historic Langa restaurant , it operated as early as the late 1800s serving merchants who traveled the routes between lower Piedmont and Liguria. Always run by the same Viberti family, it is a place to meet and remember. Solid and traditional cuisine.The wine list today as then serves those house wines produced by Viberti since the first vinifications conducted by Antonio Viberti.Barolo Buon Padre , now a label exported to more than 40 countries around the world, takes its name from the inn of the same name that still serves it exclusively.
